The peculiarity of Robotic Process Automation is that, within the framework of this technology, one application (software robot) interacts with another application not through an API (Application Programming Interface), but through an existing user interface. That is, one program communicates with another program, imitating user actions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This, in turn, determines the main advantages of using RPA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Because the existing application-user interface is used, the existing IT landscape remains unchanged when automating with Robotic Process Automation. For many companies with old systems, which are very undesirable to touch (no specialists, poorly documented, very expensive), this can be an excellent solution. In addition, when using this technology, existing controls, regulatory procedures and reporting remain unchanged.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the fact that Robotic Process Automation does not change the IT landscape, implementation is very fast. Results can be achieved within the first 2-3 weeks.<\/li>\n<li>RPA, by its nature, is introduced gradually, process by process, and the result comes after the robotization of the first process, significantly reducing costs and increasing operational productivity with a small investment in technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Software robots are optimal for repetitive tasks that do not require analysis and decision-making: manual, highly structured tasks based on clear rules. For example: filling out forms, reconciling data, collecting and consolidating data from multiple systems, updating the same data in different systems, re-entering data from the keyboard, processing invoices and orders using recognition systems, complex calculations, manual tasks related with a high risk of making a mistake, etc.<\/p>\n<p>It is not enough to implement RPA Schweiz just because of its tremendous cost savings and increased revenue. This is not about replacing human resources with robots. It is about removing robotic tasks from human work. According to statistics, 80% of the companies that implemented Robotic Process Automation Schweiz did not fire employees, they just used them to do a more qualified work.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth industrial revolution is already underway, with software robots being used by an increasing number of companies.
